Conservation & Exhibit Preparation – Natural History Museum, Oslo

As a senior consultant in the Conservation and Research Technology section at the Natural History Museum (UiO), I contributed to the preparation and installation of the museum’s new exhibitions. My work included constructing custom storage boxes, quality-checking, restoring, and securing over 1,000 specimens for transport.

I also discovered and prepared more than 50 trilobites from the Oslo Fjord area, which became part of the museum’s collection and exhibits. In addition, I cleaned, painted, and restored the large ichthyosaurs for display, assisted with assembling the Svalbard exhibition, and worked on cleaning and mounting the whale skeleton.

I built supports for the gemstone collection, created a protective support jacket for the Mosasaur skull, and supported many other tasks — including cleaning, organizing, and ensuring that all specimens were beautifully prepared and safely installed for public viewing.
