Beautiful, genuine fossil tooth of Afrovenator abakensis – a meat-eating dinosaur from the Middle Jurassic, found in Niger, Africa. The name Afrovenator means “African Hunter,” and this species was a swift terrestrial predator that lived about 167–157 million years ago.
Typical of megalosaurs, Afrovenator had a strong, box-shaped skull filled with sharp teeth designed for hunting. It measured about 6–7 meters (20–23 feet) in length and weighed around 0.9 tons.
This tooth is 3 cm long, sharp, completely natural and unrestored, with excellent preservation and surface detail — a rare and authentic piece for any fossil collection.
