A beautiful and uncommon theropod tooth attributed to a dromaeosaurid, tentatively identified as ?Deltadromeus, from the famous Kem Kem Group of southeastern Morocco. Measuring approximately 2.5 cm, this authentic fossil displays a rich chocolate-brown coloration, excellent enamel preservation, and finely defined serrated cutting edges.
The Kem Kem fossil beds have yielded one of the world's most diverse assemblages of predatory dinosaurs. However, because most discoveries consist of isolated teeth and fragmentary skeletal remains, assigning individual teeth to a specific genus or species is often challenging. As a result, many specimens are identified based on their morphology and are conservatively referred to as Dromaeosauridae indet. or tentatively associated with genera such as Deltadromeus.
This tooth exhibits the slender, recurved profile typical of small predatory theropods, with well-preserved mesial and distal serrations that would have been ideal for slicing flesh. The crown retains its natural glossy surface and attractive brown patina, with no restoration, making it an excellent specimen for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
