Information

Collected from the famous Devonian deposits of Oufatene, Maider Basin, Morocco, this specimen captures a rare moment from an ancient seafloor over 390 million years ago.

Both trilobites are preserved in a natural enrolled position, displaying the classic defensive posture that protected these ancient arthropods from predators.

Association fossils preserving multiple trilobites together are considerably less common than single specimens. Whether buried during the same sedimentary event or preserved in close proximity on the Devonian seabed, they offer a fascinating glimpse into the ecology of ancient marine environments.
