Information
An exceptional multiple fossil association from the famous Red Couche of Mimarighane, Issoumour, Morocco, preserving three remarkable marine organisms together on the same natural slab.
This beautifully prepared specimen features an outstretched Reedops trilobite measuring approximately 4 cm, a finely preserved Metacanthina trilobite measuring 3.7 cm, and a beautifully associated orthoceratid cephalopod. The composition captures a fascinating snapshot of marine life from the Devonian seas, preserved together within the distinctive reddish limestone that has made the Mimarighane beds world-famous among collectors.
Both trilobites have been meticulously prepared, revealing crisp anatomical detail, while the natural association with the orthoceratid creates an outstanding display of an ancient marine ecosystem. Genuine multi-specimen association plates of this quality are uncommon and highly desirable, combining scientific significance with exceptional aesthetic appeal.
The vivid red matrix contrasts beautifully with the fossils, creating a museum-quality centerpiece suitable for advanced collections, exhibitions, or educational displays.
